The Lake, the River and the Grounds
The lake is very much the focal point of the property. Covering 6 acres, it is well stocked with trout and carp.
Originally larger, the far end of the lake has been filled to form a river, almost half a mile in length. The fishing in the river section is first class.
The fishing rights are feudal - granted before the revolution, and there is no closed season or other legislation that affects the fishing on the lake and river.
To the south of the lake is about 11 acres of woodland, and the fields and pastures to the north side. The river section is gently wooded.
