Unless you are lucky enough to be sent to France as part of your job, or you are retiring here, or you heve sufficient means not to to have to work - you may well have to find employment.
Fistly (and obviously) it will be easier to find work in, or near, large towns and industrial centres. If you have a skill, trade, or profession that should be your starting point.
